5 days 4 nights in Georgia IV

Day 1. Arrival day.

Transfer from Tbilisi International Airport to Hotel (21:45) Dinner at local Restaurant and Overnight in Tbilisi.


Day 2. Mtskheta, Jvari, Gori/Kutaisi/Tskhaltubo/ Overnight

Trip to Mtskheta, old capital of Georgia town museum, the ancient city called as a little Jerusalem. Visit Jvari monastery (6-7 cc.), located at the top of the hill and is the place where the missionary St Nino herself erected a cross ("jvari" in Georgian)in the 4th century to mark the coming of Christianity to Georgia. Two centuries later, this monastery was built on the same spot. Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11 cc.) where holy fathers venerated the myrrh-streaming wood of the Living Pillar and the Robe of Christ; Drive to Gori, to a small town in 60 km from Tbilisi. Here was born Joseph Stalin, tour participants have opportunity to visit the museum of Stalin. Have lunch in Gori and drive to Ufliscixe Cave Town (1st millennium BC), that’s the place where the Great Silk Road used to pass. St. Andrew’s missionary work was continued by St. Nino (4th century) and 13 Syrian fathers (6th century). Drive to Kutaisi. On the way to Kutaisi stop at Surami sweet bread Nazuki making place, participate or tasting famous Georgian Nazuki with coffee-break. Dinner and overnight in Tskaltubo Spa Resort.


Day 3. Tskaltubo/Kulashi/Gelati/Sinagogue/bagrati/Promethe Cave/Tskhaltubo overnight

Drive first to Kutaisi. Kutaisi is the second largest city in Georgia, it was founded 40 centuries back and the famous myth about Argonauts is related to this city. We will visit here two sites of UNESCO heritage, Bagrati temple (XI century) and Gelaty Academy and monastery (XII c). After visiting these places we`ll visit the Kutaisi synagogue (or will drive to Kulashi. Kulashi is the famous Jewish community in Georgia next to Kutaisi, here are kept two Synagogues, museum of Jewish people and cemetery). Lunch at a local restaurant. Drive to ,,Prometheus’’ Cave. This cave has more than 15 halls, Length of Tourist route in the cave is 1060 m. Maximum height - 21 m. Air temperature - 15-17 ℃, Water temperature 13-14 ℃ "Prometheus" cave is one of the richest caves of Europe. It is characterized by the variety of underground rivers and beautiful landscapes. Golden Fleece cave meets all requirements of international tourism level. Walking route for tourists is 1060 m. Also our guests will sail by boats in underground lake (280m). (Not always available). Afterwards drive to Tskaltubo and overnight.


Day 4. Kutaisi/Bazaleti/Ananuri/Tbilisi

After the breakfast drive back to Tbilisi. On the way to Tbilisi lunch at restaurant, stop at Bazaleti lake, have coffee break on the lake shore. Visit Ananuri castle and enjoy the amazing beauty of Jinvali water reservoir. Drive to Tbilisi. Accommodate at hotel. Short walking tour at evening Tbilisi, Dinner at local restaurant with ethno music and/or dances. Overnight in Tbilisi.


Day 5. Tbilisi.

After breakfast we will start a tour in Tbilisi. Tourists will be able to enjoy the spirit of the Old and New Tbilisi by visiting famous Sulphur bathes, Narikala fortress (1st c), Metekhi church (VI c) and Sameba Trinity Cathedral (XXIc), European style street Sharden with cozy cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. tour guide will let you know the History of Tbilisi, will lead you at the most beautiful and significant places of Tbilisi like Turtle lake and Bombora Entertainment park.We`ll visit Georgian market, after the lunch tourists will have some free time to spent and afterwards transfer to Airport. Departure time 22:15
